Installation Instructions:

*The installation instructions below will assist you in downloading the evaluation version of Windows Server, elevating it to Standard and activating it with your product key.

1. Click on the download link below and select “Sign In.” Log into your Microsoft Account. If you don’t have one, click on “Create one!.”

2. Select the ISO option – the download will begin immediately.

3. Once the download has been completed, use the third-party tool below to create a bootable USB flash drive.

4. You are ready for installation! During installation, select Standard Desktop Experience.

5. Once installation has completed, open up the command prompt as administrator and run the command below, providing the retail product key in the XXX fields.

DISM /online /Set-Edition:ServerStandard /ProductKey:XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX /AcceptEula

Error 87? This indicates a typo in the command. Please check for missing spaces or dashes and try again.

6. You will then be prompted to restart. After the initial restart, restart once more to complete the process. The server will now be activated.

Note: Lifting the server out of evaluation can take some time to process. It varies considerably, but in most cases, it completes within 30 minutes. If you get stuck at 10%, this is normal, let the process finish.
